Every Purex Aqua RO combines these stages to deliver water that's pure, safe and naturally healthy.
Micro Filtration (MF)
MF removes visible impurities, sediment, sand and rust through a fine micron mesh. It is the first defence in our purification stack, protecting downstream membranes from clogging and extending the life of every other cartridge inside your Purex Aqua RO purifier.
Ultra Filtration (UF)
Ultra Filtration uses hollow-fibre membranes to trap bacteria, cysts and colloidal particles without electricity. Even if power is unavailable, UF continues to deliver biologically safer water — a perfect partner stage that compliments the RO membrane in low-TDS regions.
Ultra Violet (UV)
A high-intensity UV lamp disinfects water by deactivating bacteria, viruses and pathogens at the DNA level. Our UV chamber is calibrated for full-flow exposure, giving you confidence that every glass poured from a Purex Aqua RO is microbiologically protected.
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
RO is the heart of every Purex Aqua machine. A semi-permeable membrane rejects dissolved salts, heavy metals, pesticides and TDS down to 0.0001 micron — turning hard borewell or municipal water into sweet, soft, lab-grade safe drinking water.
Alkaline Enhancer (ALK)
Our Alkaline cartridge re-mineralises purified water and lifts pH to a healthy 8.0–9.5 range. It adds essential calcium, magnesium and potassium back into the water, improving taste, hydration and antioxidant value for your whole family every single day.

Choose an RO that fits your needs.

Check your water source
Borewell or hard water (high TDS, above 500 ppm) needs a full RO + UV + UF + Alkaline machine. Municipal supply (low TDS) does well with UV + UF models.

Measure the TDS
Use a TDS meter. Above 300 ppm → RO is essential. 50–300 ppm → UV/UF is sufficient. Below 50 ppm → you mostly need disinfection, not de-mineralisation.

Match the tank size
Family of 3–4 → 8–10 L tank. Family of 5–7 → 10–12 L tank. Shops, offices, clinics → choose a larger capacity or commercial unit.

Pick the stages you need
More stages = more protection. 8–10 stages suit clean supply; 11–12 stages with alkaline + copper are ideal for hard and chemically heavy water.

Insist on Alkaline & Mineral cartridges
RO removes everything — good and bad. An alkaline filter restores healthy minerals and balances pH, giving sweeter, healthier drinking water.

After-sales service matters
Choose a brand with local service like Purex Aqua. Filters need yearly replacement and the RO membrane every 2–3 years for safe operation.
